Squeezing out some drops
from your heart
and singing about the colors.
Dancing in the moonlight
and soaking up love from the stars.
Calling up a friend
to tell her you love her.
Writing a letter to your soul
and then answering it.
Volunteering to sing a solo,
then picking out something to sing
that makes you laugh.
Spontaneously burning your bills
after you’ve paid them.
(Doesn’t that feel good!)
Taking a day off from work
to go skinny dipping.
Wetting your lips
and giving your lover a passionate kiss
on the palm of one hand.
Letting a cat fall asleep,
on your lap, purring.
Doing joyous things
with tears in your eyes.
Doing heart wrenching things
with love in your eyes.
Working at what you love
and loving your work.
Shouting at a thunderstorm
“Boom, Crash, Rumble.”
Making a “Happy Memories” Box
and finding it later.
