Where is the beauty of Springtime without love?
Lush green carpets sprinkled with dandelion whispers
Trees burgeon – flowers bloom – birds sing
While our lyrics are lost.
Quiet sunshine transforms the earth.
Musical raindrops dance away the dust,
Refreshing Winter’s bad breath.
Colorful warmth replaces sepia apathy.
Everything changes – except
This vacuous echo of sadness within me.
Days are eternal – more time to labor over regrets.
Nights are endless – in a solitary existence.
Open to close
Those hours are void of love
The choice is mine
To stand alone or not
To embrace love
Or set it free.
There is safety in solitude
But a bitter potion this loneliness
That slowly poisons the soul.
Until questioning faithfulness
Requires measured explanation
For lyrics lost.
Immortal Spring – bloom passion’s fire
Give birth to new heart songs
That we might love again.
