My name is Debbie.
I’m from
Stuart, Florida, and have lived there for about 18 years.
I’m 43, divorced and a proud
mother of two daughters, ages 10 and 12. I work in the business office of an outpatient
surgery center. I love music, dancing, computers, movies, Star Trek and of course . . .
poetry.
I’ve loved poetry all my life. From as far back as I can remember,
it’s been a
constant. Poetry about love is my specialty. I am now, and always have been, a hopeless
romantic. Poetry allows me to describe what I think the perfect love should feel like,
what it should be. And as hard as I try, my poetry doesn’t come close to describing
the true depth of what is felt.
At times, I find writing draining and exhausting because it forces me to reach deep down
inside myself to pull to the surface my thoughts and feelings normally hidden in that
private place within my heart.
