I was born right as The Great Depression hit, and in dead of Winter. Therefore
I’m a Capricorn, and all that entails.
I was in the Air Force and later became an academic nomad, roaming the world, not knowing what I was
doing. Totally clueless. I’m amazed that I’m not dead, in the bughouse, or a
paraplegic by now.
I worked for James Van Allen for over thirty years as a scientific illustrator, and after retiring, I set up a painting studio in the downtown
area of Iowa City.
