Freedom?

Can I be true to my soul?
Can I reach beyond the mirage
Of reason and sensibility
To unleash the forces in me?
Can I look beyond the illusion
Of what the world offers me
And see a new dimension –
A vision beyond all dreams?
Can I hear the voices of the Muse
Through the unending cacophony
Of the multitudes surrounding me –
To vibrate to the chords of the music
That the storm and the winds sway to?
Do I dare to free my thoughts
From the confines of ignorant tranquility
To scale the depths and heights
Of a mighty, restless ocean?
Do I dare to dream
Shattering the horizons of imagination,
Entering a boundless galaxy of eternal truth?
Do I dare to be one
With the potent forces of the Being
And find the person I really am?
Do I dare . . . to be free?
